The Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA) course focuses on ethical, professional and clinical concepts as they relate to the dental assistant, dental procedures, and the dental office.
Through case presentations, discussions, assignments, online lectures, and on-site clinical labs, the dental assistant will learn the foundations of this career.
The course comprises four weeks of didactic online learning and one day of on-site, hands-on clinical lab work, totaling 27 hours upon completion. Students are expected to be present in the ULM Dental Hygiene Clinic for the clinical portion on the final day.
