The Department of Continuing Education and Professional Development offers proctoring services for students taking courses at other colleges or universities or online through ULM.
What is the exam proctoring service?
Local students taking online classes or training at other colleges or universities may be expected to take proctored exams for those courses. This office provides supervision and a secure testing environment for those exams. This service is also available to students enrolled in ULM online courses.
What is the cost for this service?
The proctor fee is $50 per exam, payable below.
When can exams be taken?
Proctoring must be scheduled in advance. To schedule an exam, contact the Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development.
What kind of environment is provided?
A quiet testing room and a desktop computer with internet access are provided for paper and computer-based exams.
Please note: One or more students may be using the facility at the same time.
What arrangements need to be made?
- Contact the ULM Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development to inquire about available times and days that fit your required testing window and to reserve a time slot.
- Pay the $50/test proctor fee (below).
- Notify your institution that our office has agreed to proctor your exam, and provide them with our contact information so they can send the exam materials.

What do I bring to the exam?
Photo ID: (Driver's License, Passport or student ID card) Please note: You will not be allowed to take the exam if you do not bring a photo ID.
Other Allowable Resources: If the exam permits other resources such as a calculator or notes, you may bring those as well.
What happens after the exam?
For paper-based exams, this department will return the completed exam to your institution, and they will release the score/grade.
Please note: ULM does not provide a scoring service for proctored exams.
